Following a number of award successes in 2017 with Adthena shortlisted in the European Search, UK Biddable Media and The Drum Search Awards, CEO Ian O’Rourke has been shortlisted as a finalist by the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists in the Enterprise Awards – known as the “The Oscars For Technology Entrepreneurs”
Shortlisted in the Developing Entrepreneur category, a win at the award ceremony next month would be the second in two years for Ian.
Ian founded Adthena in 2012 and has since grown the company from startup to the competitive intelligence for search market leader.
Running for seven years now, the Enterprise Awards celebrate and recognise the very best of UK technology entrepreneurs. The awards focus on the exceptional achievements of founders in both private and public markets. Previous winners in addition to Ian include the founders of unicorn companies FanDuel and Transferwise, as well as Vin Murria whose Advanced Computer Software Products was sold to Vista Partners for £725 million.
Ian commented: “The nomination highlights the success we’ve seen in the last year and is a clear acknowledgment to the hard work of my whole team. Since the win last year, we’ve secured a £2 million series A investment from one of the UK’s most successful technology entrepreneurs, Mel Morris who has joined the Adthena board, and almost doubled our sales and headcount across three offices worldwide.”
The winners of the Enterprise Awards will be announced at a ceremony on 14th June.
