Paris, October 13, 2021
Kantar, world leader in data, research and consulting, and Adthena, leader in Search Intelligence powered by AI, announce the launch in France of their partnership to integrate Adthena’s award-winning Paid Search data into Kantar’s advertising monitoring and measurement offer.
The launch comes after the announcement of a global agreement between Kantar and Adthena in January 2021, alongside Adthena’s acquisition of the Search Intelligence business formerly owned by Kantar, Adgooroo.
Thanks to this partnership, Kantar enriches its monitoring of keyword purchasing strategies by brands on search engines, in terms of both volume and value as well as the frequency of advertisements, and broadens its coverage with mobile data and commercial links integrated into Google Shopping: PLA (Product Listing Ads).
Adthena and Kantar will define a new cross-advertising monitoring standard, which will allow users to easily track brands’ Paid Search activities, including spending, performance and creativity, in addition to traditional and digital media already measured.
Kantar is now able to respond more precisely to market expectations and to offer brands in-depth analyzes with such granularity that they are now able to benchmark themselves against each other. These analyzes allow brands to measure and analyze their entire advertising landscape, to know the communication strategy of their competitors in an exhaustive way, and to optimize their campaigns by detecting opportunities.
Denis Gaucher, Managing Director of Kantar’s Media division in France, is delighted with this announcement: “Search advertising is at the very heart of our clients’ advertising and marketing strategies, said Denis Gaucher, Chief Executive Officer France. This media counts for more than 40% of the digital advertising investments, making our partnership with Adthena, market-leading intelligence platform for paid search advertising, key to always better support our clients.
Ian O’Rourke, CEO and founder of Adthena, describes the partnership as high-level and said: “It’s great to further strengthen our global partnership with Kantar and jointly bring market-leading search intelligence directly to French customers. I’m also thrilled to be expanding Adthena’s France-based Adthena team to support customers and Kantar.”
In addition, Adthena is launching its own platform in France, through its French-speaking experts based in Paris. Adthena won the 2021 US Search Awards for Best Software Innovation and Best Search Software and has over 300 leading brands and agencies among its global customer base, including Nespresso, EDF Energy, Eurostar, Volkswagen, L’Oreal and Marks & Spencer.
